WE PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE CONSERVATION !
All billfish and other gamefish (tarpon, mako, etc) will be freed as soon as possible. All non-edible fish (jack crevalle, bonita, etc) will be released at boatside unless used for bait. Any and all fish that the catching fisherman does not intend to clean and eat will also be released before gaffing or landing. At this time, we allow
the gaffing and landing of some shark species, but encourage fisher-men to release these fish as well after enjoying the sport of playing them. We are not in the business of killing fish. Our purpose is to provide you with the opportunity to experience the thrill of fishing and savor the taste of fresh-caught fish while preserving the species for future generations.
Go First Class ! aboard the Ospreys 1 and 2. These state of the art vessels are equipped with all the latest navigation and fish-finding electronics and are licensed by the US Coast Guard to operate 100 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico for true deep sea fishing!
5 Hour 8 Hour and 12 Hour Tripsfishing the Gulf of Mexico. Typical catches, depending on the season, include Red Snapper,
Shark, Ling, Kingfish, Dorado, Amberjack, Grouper, Tuna and Jack Crevalle. We encourage
"catch and release" to preserve the sport of fishing for future generations. The Osprey 1 was
constructed by Breaux Bay Craft of Loreauville, La, one of the premier builders of aluminum
off-shore vessels, in 1995. In 1997, as our fishing program met with enthusiasm, we added the
Osprey 2. The vessels are similar in size and equipment, 70' in length with a 22' beam, and provide
a smooth safe ride even in rough seas. They each are powered by twin Detroit 8-92 diesels and
have large auxilliary generators. |
